Welcome to Squatch Acres!

This gorgeous, absurdly clean lakefront home offers the ultimate in privacy and seclusion. Have your coffee on the deck while watching deer frolic in the yard. Offering 2 king beds and one full (plus two couches), this home can host up to 8 people. Enjoy fishing right on the dock or from the bank of the lake on the private lake access right on the property. All the modern conveniences of home are here but with the privacy to “get away from it all” (yet it’s only 20 minutes from town!)

After a long day in the sun or on the lake, you want nice, comfortable surroundings to retire to. Squatch Acres features two King beds, one full bed, two couches, and a hammock for napping or a full night's sleep. The beds are all full of blankets and plenty of pillows for the ultimate in relaxation. This house is renowned for its exceptionally clean, comfortable, upscale furnishings.

Whether you want to bring your own boat or use the provided canoe, you can access the dock right from the property. This area of the lake is excellent for swimming and fishing, too! Rarely will you encounter any other people in this secluded spot.

The home features clean, modern furniture and appliances. Everything is brand new!

You’ll have access to the entire property as if it were your own home.

With nearly 3 acres of land to explore, you'll never get bored at Squatch Acres. Even in the winter, the woods are great for hiking and exploring. If you enjoy spotting wildlife, this is the spot for you. Among deer, raccoons and wild turkeys, you're also likely to see owls, groundhogs, bobcats, squirrels, chipmunks, cranes, hawks, eagles, and perhaps on an extremely rare occasion, even a black bear.

This is an extremely secluded property. The driveway is 1/2 mile long and the property is surrounded by woods owned by the Corps of Engineers (so you may freely explore those areas as well). While there is one other property nearby, they are far enough away that you’ll not hear or see them. You may see them drive by once per day (and often not at all). You can really enjoy total peace and quiet here, with only the sounds of nature and boats on the lake to enjoy.

The guest guide has a huge list of activities and places you can visit during your stay, such as Mammoth Cave. You will need a car to get to restaurants and stores; the only thing within walking distance is the lake.

Guests don’t need to rent a boat, the house comes equipped with a canoe! If you prefer motorized boats, nearby Wax Marina has plenty to rent.

Location

866 Carlie Drive , Grayson County, United States

This property is very secluded. Carlie Drive is off of Williams Cemetery Road. While traveling on Williams Cemetery Road, you will come to a 3-way fork in the road. Carlie Drive is the road to the furthest right of the 3. Carlie Drive is asphalt; once you come to the gravel portion of the road, you will see "private property" signs. This begins the driveway for Squatch Acres. Keep following the drive back into the woods. The driveway is 1/2 mile long, so be patient and when the trees "open up" you'll see the house on the right side of the driveway. On the left side you'll see our detached garage (it is not available for guests). If you have an Apple device, please use Apple Maps to navigate to the location.
